Helllooooooo, my name is Leviiiii

When I first started developing my film I was terrified that I would loose all my lovely exposures. I used to stress over ever single moment film dev. I would meticulously check, double check, and triple check everything. But these days I develop, scan, and convert film while watching new episodes of my favorite anime. And if I can develop film with ease in my bathtub while streaming Netflix, then you can too.

One thing that I wish I had when I first got into developing film, was someone to hold my hand and walk me through the process. I wish there was some one there to tell me how to avoid overlapped film and water sports, and scratches on the film. I know it sounds kinda silly but this course is kinda exactly what I wish I had. And now I’m giving this to you!

This is your opportunity to bring your own color film and learn to develop it in your bathtub with me! It’s going to be so much fun

3 SESSIONS
3 WEEKS

Session 1 ||| How To Develop

First thing’s first, we gotta develop the film in the bathtub. Color film is very accessible, but getting over the hurdle can be tricky. I will be hosting a live visual walk through explaining in detail all the steps necessary and all the mistakes that you could make. You do not need to develop film with me for this session. This will be a lecture based Q&A for you to digest the maximum amount of info.

Session 2 ||| How To Scan

There are so many types of ways to scan your film. During this session we will cover cell phone and digital camera scanning. Digital camera scanning is usually much better, but I want to make sure that this course is accessible to those without a big fancy camera. You can follow along as long as you have film negatives ready for scanning.

Session 3 ||| How To Convert

Unfortunately you can’t just invert your negative. it takes a little more nuance than that. We’ll cover tone curves, dynamic range, and all the details that you need to understand to make the colors on your conversions really pop!

I’m really excited about this!! I think this is gonna be a lot of fun and I can’t wait to meet my class of eager individuals!! Only 20 Slots available

Slots for this class will be available on Sunday. If you have any questions please feel free to shoot me a DM on instagram.
